Judith Ann Spinola, daughter of the late Angelo Richard Spinola, has donated $6,000 from the Spinola estate to the College to provide scholarship funds for a student pursuing a teaching career. Angelo Spinola was born in Agira, Sicily, and immigrated to the United States in 1921. In 1939 he received a bachelor’s degree from The University of Alabama. The Semmes Foundation of San Antonio, Texas, has donated $100,000 to the Douglas Epps Jones–Geological Sciences Advisory Board Endowed Scholarship. Kathleen A. Farmer and others have given more than $10,000 to the College to establish the Randall Justice Farmer Endowed Support Fund.
