Dr. Hazel Barton, the Loper Endowed professor of geological sciences at The University of Alabama and her team have been attempting to understand how life lives in the dark and isolated environments of the Wind Cave.

A project led by The University of Alabama is developing software to enable monitoring and assessing the quality of freshwater reservoirs using satellite and drone technology, potentially saving time and cost.
