Advising Options During Peak Times
Peak advising times are from mid-October through mid-November and mid-March through mid-April annually. This means that advising appointments are in high demand and students who are unable to find an advising appointment are encouraged to check back daily for new advising appointment openings.
Drop-in advising (no appointment needed) for A&S first-year freshmen and transfer students will be from November 6th through November 17th in 200 Clark Hall. Times that students can be seen are from 9:00 a.m. to 11:15 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. to 3:15 p.m. during this timeframe. Students will sign in at the kiosk and will be seen first come, first served, although there may be a waiting period. These short advising encounters allow your advising pin to be cleared and students are encouraged to have an idea of what classes they want to take for the Spring 2024 term.
You will be directed to myBama to make this appointment. We offer both 15-minute and 30-minute appointment options. In the comments section, you can enter what you would like to discuss during your appointment. Once completed, your Zoom appointment confirmation will be sent to your crimson email account.
