Angelo Richard Spinola Estate Provides $6,000 Scholarship

Judith Ann Spinola, daughter of the late Angelo Richard Spinola, has donated $6,000 from the Spinola estate to the College to provide scholarship funds for a student pursuing a teaching career. Angelo Spinola was born in Agira, Sicily, and immigrated to the United States in 1921. In 1939 he received a bachelor’s degree from The University of Alabama. He later had an extensive career in education as a teacher, principal, and school superintendent in New Jersey. He was an avid sports fan, with a special passion for the Alabama Crimson Tide football team.
