UA Students Receive U.S. Fulbright Program Awards for 2023-2024
The Fulbright Program has selected 13 University of Alabama students for various awards for the 2023-2024 academic year. UA was recognized as a Top Producing Institution for Fulbright U.S. Student Awards for the sixth time in eight years in February.

UA Student Receives Boren Scholarship to Study in Brazil
From the UA News Center | University of Alabama student Sean Atchison has received a Boren Scholarship for the study of languages in world regions critical to U.S. interests and underrepresented in study abroad. Atchison, of Chatom, will study Portuguese in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, with an emphasis on Brazilian culture, history and politics. Department of Modern Languages and Classics Hosts Day of the Dead Commemoration
From Nov. 1 through Nov. 9, the Hispanic-Latino Association and the Department of Modern Languages and Classics, with the support of the Spanish club Los Estudiantes de Alabama sin Fronteras and the Intercultural Diversity Center, will host a Day of the Dead commemoration.
