Alabama lawmakers remain without a clear path on a next step toward regulating in vitro fertilization or pursuing any other legislative fixes more than two weeks after the approval of a bill granting legal immunity to health providers if a frozen embryo is destroyed during procedures or storage…“IVF is overwhelmingly popular, even among GOP voters and those who consider themselves pro-life,” said Regina Wagner, a political science professor at The University of Alabama.

Bark to the Beat Music 5K fundraiser to benefit Tuscaloosa Metro Animal Shelter: Alabama Public Radio – April 2

Those who love music, animals and getting in shape can walk, run or do a little of both at the Bark to the Beat Music 5K. The University of Alabama School of Music is hosting the inaugural event on Saturday, April 6. While the event officially launches at 8:00 a.m., additional waves will be released at 8:30 a.m. and 9:00 a.m.
