Baldwin County Youth Orchestra performance: Fox (Mobile, AL) – May 10

The organization has a group for all levels and ages. The mission is to make music available to all students. As a special treat, the Capstone String Quartet from The University of Alabama join in the performance.

Putnam Competition

UA freshman places in top percentage of prestigious math competition: Tuscaloosa Patch – May 11

UA freshman Jacob Glidewell has been competing in mathematics competitions since eighth grade, constantly trying to push himself to do better and grow in his skill. This year, he has once again succeeded in his challenge by placing in the top 100 competitors of the Putnam Competition.
