What has been your favorite experience?

My favorite experiences at UA are attending Onyx during Welcome Week and the NPHC step show! Both are great opportunities to showcase UA’s greatest asset: our diversity in cultures. I also enjoy stopping by the Career Center to get help searching for summer internships!

What made you choose UA?

Choosing UA was easy. It was an hour away from my hometown, Birmingham, and I truly felt like the University was committed to my success. There are so many resources on campus dedicated to helping students, and the university has faculty and staff that are dedicated to working alongside students to create new programs and initiatives that meet student needs.

What advice would you give to incoming students?

My advice to the class of 2024 is to go on The Source website that shows you all of the student organizations and join two groups. The first group should be an organization that makes you feel most at home. The second organization should be one that is outside of your comfort zones. Both of these will serve you well as you grow into your role as a student at the Capstone and a leader in the community.
