Paleontology Show and Tell

Participants in Grades 1-3 will have a show and tell experience with real life fossils and equipment and dress up as a paleontologist. This program is free with museum admission. Fossil Excursion

Museum Fossil Excursion Day Trips travel to the Black Belt of Alabama in search of vertebrate and invertebrate fossils from the Cretaceous Age. Participants of all ages should be prepared to get wet and muddy as we wade through shallow streams to collect shark teeth and other marine fossils from streambed gravel deposits. Jr. Archaeology Day

Moundville Archaeological Park is participating in community outreach with Jr. Archaeology Day on Friday, July 21 from 1:00 pm until 5:00 pm to learn about the history of Sloss Furnace through archaeological excavation and interpretation. This is a free event and no registration is required. All Ages are welcome and activities are geared towards K-12.
