Stewart McLaurin, a 1981 graduate of The University of Alabama Department of History and current president of the White House Historical Association (WHHA), will return to campus on March 1 to speak as part of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute‘s (OLLI) lifelong learning lecture series. McLaurin will be in town to discuss the WHHA’s history, current projects, and role in preserving the presidential mansion for future generations. Cover designs of books by 23 faculty authors in The University of Alabama’s College of Arts and Sciences are on display March 3 – March 31, 2023, at The University of Alabama Gallery in the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center in downtown Tuscaloosa. The exhibit, “On the Cover: Books Published by A&S Faculty,” features authors who are internationally recognized scientists, writers, artists and scholars. They represent academic disciplines in three divisions: social sciences, natural sciences and mathematics, and humanities and fine arts.
