The Specter of Civil War in Israel: From Public Secret to Shared Imaginary

September 6, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

For three decades, a pervasive, unspoken fear of civil war has stalemated Israeli politics. Almost overnight, that fear is now very much out in the open – civil war is now openly discussed.  How did this happen, and what might it mean?

Speakers include:

Daniel Bertrand Monk, Department of Peace and Conflict Studies, Colgate University

Daniel J. Levine, Department of Political Science, University of Alabama

Pizza and Soda will be served.

For background, see their essay The Specter of Civil War in Israel.
