Guest Curator and UA Faculty Open “Freedom?” at Paul R. Jones Gallery

From the January 2017 Desktop News | The University of Alabama’s Black Faculty and Staff Association recently joined with Brooklyn-based curator Dalila Scruggs to create a new, long-term exhibition at the Paul R. Derby, a documentary photographer and civil rights activist, donated a historic photograph from the civil rights era to The University of Alabama during the opening reception of an exhibit featuring her photographs. Jones Gallery to Display Newly Acquired Works

A small sampling from more than 400 pieces of art that were recently acquired by The University of Alabama’s College of Arts and Sciences will be displayed at the Paul R.
