UA announced on March 12 that due to the coronavirus outbreak, classes will be canceled until March 30 to allow time to transition — to the extent possible — to alternative and remote learning. Teaching will resume March 30 using these new methods.
Where to Find Updates
UA will communicate all updates regarding academic continuity via the University’s main website: ua.edu. We recommend that you periodically monitor email and the UA homepage over break for the latest information. Return to this page for information specific to College of Arts and Sciences advising and support.
Campus messages, useful links, and detailed information about illness prevention, travel, and other topics can be found on the University’s health information page.
What to Do if You Feel Unwell
If you’re concerned about symptoms you’re experiencing, or you want to know more about preventing illness, visit the University’s health information page. Two pages within that site might be of particular interest:
- Illness Prevention — includes information about symptoms
- General FAQs — includes specific instructions for faculty, staff, and students who feel sick
The Office of Student Services is working closely with faculty and staff across campus to address changes related to advising, registration, and end-of-semester support in light of the recent move of classes online.
New dates and processes will be included on this webpage as plans are finalized. Check back frequently for updates.
