Dr. Tera Hunter, Edwards Professor of American History at Princeton University, will be giving a talk on the history of African American marriage and slavery on Thursday, January 24, at 4:30pm in ten Hoor 30. Dr. Hunter is the winner of the Deep South Book Prize for her monograph, Bound in Wedlock: Slave and Free Black Marriage in the Nineteenth Century (Harvard, 2017).

This event is sponsored by the Summersell Center for the Study of the South. It is free and open to the public.
