Civic Engagement

A&S faculty, staff and students work to make a difference in civic life through participation in the democratic structures that make up the political and non-political processes that support our communities.

Vote Everywhere

A student helps another student register to vote at a table.
UA’s Vote Everywhere chapter holds a voter registration drive in the Ferguson Center. Established in 2015, the chapter won the 2020 Chapter of the Year award from the group’s parent organization, the Andrew Goodman Foundation, which advocates for young people to vote and be civically engaged with their communities.

Vote Everywhere is an initiative of The Andrew Goodman Foundation (AGF). The AGF is a national organization that empowers young people to initiate and sustain creative, effective social actions that advance civic engagement and develop cooperative coalitions in local communities.

Civic Engagement and Leadership Minor

The minor in civic engagement and leadership is for those wishing to become outstanding leaders and citizens. There is a track for Army and Air Force ROTC students and a general track for all others.
