“A Big Production”

Kathryn B. Scott led the band from 1984 to 2002, making her the second-longest-serving director in Million Dollar Band history. Susanne (Marsh) Hibbard, who played clarinet in the band from 1986 to 1991, remembers Scott as “a perfectionist.”

“She made us work hard, but you could tell it was because she really cared about the University,” Hibbard says. “She wanted us to put on a great musical show that was also entertaining.”
