Performing Arts Center

Culverhouses, Abernathys Name Theatres in Smith Center

In addition to officially naming the facility the Smith Family Center for the Performing Arts in honor of the Mark Smith family of Huntsville, the UA System Board of Trustees Friday approved the naming of both the Eliza P. Culverhouse Dance Theatre and the Robert and Laura Abernathy Theatre in the Smith Center.

WRITE YOUR WAY FORWARD

Students are using the English Department’s new minor in Digital, Public, and Professional Writing as a complement to their academic coursework in a variety of degree programs across campus. Students may choose from suggested paths or create their own path through the minor to hone the critical skills and rhetorical awareness necessary for effective communication in their chosen careers.
