Personnel at the Placenames Research Center have backgrounds in Geography, Cartography, Geographic Information Systems, Library and Information Studies, English, History and International Relations. The Center is staffed by four professional full-time staff in addition to Graduate Research Assistants and Undergraduate Assistants. The Map Library Supervisor also provides extensive toponymic research support on a parttime basis.
