Academic Advisor II

About

Kayla Johnson was raised in a military family, living everywhere from Hawaii to Minnesota before settling down in Alabama. She received both her BA in anthropology and her MA in library and information studies from The University of Alabama. She spent a few years working as an academic librarian before transitioning to student services, where she works as an advisor to first year and undecided students in the College of Arts and Sciences. She enjoys helping students, especially in the early stages of their college career. In her spare time, Kayla enjoys running, travel, and spending time with her Maine Coon cat, Wren.
