New College Turns 40

New College alums, students, and professors gathered for a weekend celebration which included a wonderful recital from alum Anne LeBaron, seminars with current professors like Dr. Jerry Rosenburg, and enjoying a big barbecue dinner in front of Lloyd.

The weekend was filled with reminiscing and storytelling, but also insight on what New College is like today with its current faculty and students. The gathering was a major success and an important occasion solidifying New College's place on campus.

In 1971 New College was a very small community of faculty and students, but over the years the numbers have increased and the community remains close to 200 students each year.

The celebration brought many alumni together to remember their time spent at the University, and to also connect to the students in the New College program now.
