The 16th Annual McCollough Medical Scholars Forum will be held on February 9th and 10th.

The McCollough Medical Scholars Forum, sponsored by The University of Alabama’s College of Arts and Sciences, was established by Alabama physician Dr. Gaylon McCollough and his wife, Susan, who are both UA alumni. Keynote speakers are Dr. Jonathan Gavras, senior vice president and chief medical officer at Prime Therapeutics, and Dr. Matthew Might, director of the Hugh Kaul Personalized Medicine Institute at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Students will have the opportunity to engage in conversation with forum keynote speakers, invited health care professionals, faculty members, and other guests of the College, regarding humanistic and social issues in medicine. This event is for pre-health students. This year’s keynote speakers will discuss cutting edge topics in personalized and pharmaceutical medicine and their relation to the daily practice of healthcare.
