Documenting Outcomes with Tech Tools: A Hands-on Workshop

Join the eTech Mentors for a three-session hands-on workshop in which you will learn how to use technology tools to document the achievement of departmental and course outcomes. Participants who attend all three sessions of the workshop and who successfully align an assignment with and document the achievement of a departmental outcome will receive a $500 institutional effectiveness mini-grant. Additional grant money from the Office of Institutional Effectiveness may be available for the materials created in this workshop. Limited to 30 participants. Faculty and FTTI are eligible to participate.

Please bring a copy of your syllabus (or syllabi) and your department’s learning outcomes to the first session.

Teaching, Research, and the iPad in the College of Arts and Sciences at The University of Alabama

Have you been thinking of ways to incorporate an iPad into your teaching or research? Join us on Tuesday, September 13, from 3:30-4:30 in Gorgas 205 as selected members of the Arts and Sciences iPad Initiative will talk about their experiences using an iPad in the classroom and in the field. All Arts and Sciences faculty, instructors, and staff are welcome to attend.

Welcome to the Office of Educational Technology! Our mission is to provide technology and resources to the College of Arts and Sciences faculty for the purpose of enhancing student education. Our department supports a number of Arts and Sciences-controlled multimedia classrooms and student computer labs. We also offer educational sessions and one-on-one support for faculty who are interested in using various technologies in their classroom.
