Walk this May!

Planning to graduate this spring? Here’s what you need to do now to make it happen.

The most important thing to know about graduation is this: You have to apply for it.

Completing the online degree application is easy — just log in to myBama, select the Graduation APP icon from the Student Services panel, and submit your application.

We advise students to apply for graduation the semester before they want to graduate — or early in the semester of graduation, at the very latest. This year’s deadline is March 4, 2016, but we strongly recommend that you apply early. That way, you beat the last-minute rush and allow yourself time to resolve any issues that arise.

Need more information?

Graduation-related deadlines are included in the UA academic calendar maintained by the Office of the Registrar, with additional details provided via the registrar’s Commencement page.

Info about caps and gowns, photos, class rings, announcements, and a whole host of other graduation-related details is provided on the registrar’s Candidate Instructions page.

Our graduation checklist includes several academic items related to your status as an A&S student.

What about that honors stole?

If applicable, pick up your stole two weeks before graduation at the A&S Student Services Center in 200 Clark Hall.
