May 6: Graduate reception, 3-5:00 p.m. in Smith Hall. We invite A&S graduates and their families to join us for a celebration reception in the Museum of Natural History in Smith Hall. Refreshments will be provided.

May 9: Interim classes begin

May 9: Last day to add a course or drop a course without a grade of “W”

May 18–26: Druid City Opera Workshop, UA School of Music

May 21: Last day to drop a course with a grade of “W.”  This is a student’s last opportunity to drop a course. Drops after this date must be approved and processed by the student’s college.

May 27: Interim classes end

May 30–August 15: Bama Bound Orientation. See session dates and times.

May 31: Summer classes begin

June 1: Last day to add a course or drop a Summer I course without a grade of “W”

June 3: Last day to add a course or drop a full-term Summer course without a grade of “W”

June 3: Degree application deadline. Applications must be submitted online through myBama.

June 17: Doctoral regalia purchase deadline. Deadline to rent or purchase doctoral gowns. Sizing and availability can’t be guaranteed after this date. Purchase at the SUPe Store or online at universitysupplystore.com.

June 18: Last day to drop a Summer I course with a grade of “W”

June 28: Summer I classes end.

June 29–30: Summer I final exams. See exam schedule.

July 4: Classes dismissed for Independence Day (UA closed)

July 6: Summer II classes begin

July 7: Last day to add a course or drop a Summer II course without a grade of “W”

July 24: Last day to drop a Summer II course with a grade of “W”
